The Venue: Le Bistro Arabe at Riad Monceau
Le Bistro Arabe is located within the stunning Riad Monceau just a short distance from the Jemaa El Fna in Marrakech. The venue is a blend of Arabic-Andalusian beauty and a charming Jazz ambience which any artist finding it performing art is an inspiring experience.
The warm lighting, beautiful structures and the decor in this self-styled music lounge provides the perfect ambiance for entertaining music-filled nights. To get an opportunity to come play here was such an appreciation as it is a place where tradition is fused with modern creativity and style.

The Performance: A Night of Music and Magic
It was nothing less than a magical night. Me and my band members (Bass, Piano, Cajon & Drummer) played a set of mixed classics and my personal favorite pieces, and every note was alive with the unique acoustics of the venue. We opened with some Gnawa Blues using traditional instrument the Guembri, after we played Hey Jude by The Beatles since it did fit the mood of the Riad perfectly.
Being able to collaborate with the talented house musicians added another layer of energy and spontaneity to the evening. It was intimate at best, whereby I could really connect with the audience, and the smiles and movement to the music made the experience even more special. For this reason, playing at Le Bistro Arabe was more than a gig but a moment when the power of music could bloom in such a great place.
