ACA Battle of the Bands: A Night of Fusion & Victory

After being preselected to participate in the American Cultural Association (ACA) Battle of the Bands, we prepared an intense one-hour show. Our set was a deliberate mix between Arabic folklore, Moroccan music, and Western rock influences—a true representation of the "Chaabi-Rock" revolution. When we finally performed on stage, our beloved fans cheered us on through every single song, creating an electric atmosphere that I'll never forget.

The preparation went far beyond just rehearsals. I personally worked closely with Jordan, the Director of ACA in Marrakech, to finalize all the dates and technical requirements. We held several meetings to ensure our artistic vision aligned with the event's goals. I even invited him to our studio, where we shared a unique moment of musical connection as he played the saxophone with us.

"The Logistics and sound engineering were a challenge like always. Nothing was working as intended... it was pure artistic chaos."

As is often the case with live shows, the technical side was a battle of its own. We faced numerous setbacks where equipment didn't behave as planned. We ended up staying until 3 AM preparing the stage, making sure every cable and every light was in place. We returned early the next morning for one final rehearsal, finishing just as the first guests began to enter the hall.

In the end, despite the exhaustion and the technical hurdles, it was incredibly fun and rewarding. We made lasting memories and, most importantly, we came in second place out of thirteen talented bands. It was a testament to our synergy and the power of our musical fusion.
